Ideal for European connections and shorter hauls. A smaller, central airport with transfer links to Stresa via private transfer or train.
Direct Bus
MXP Terminal 1 straight to Stresa’s Piazza Marconi. Departs regularly and drops you right in the center of town. Book at least a day ahead online or at the terminal.

One transfer required, arriving directly into Stresa station. It is a scenic and affordable option—just plan ahead for the connection. Be sure to check Trenitalia for current timetables and advance booking.

Pre-booking a private transfer is a convenient, door-to-door option. We recommend booking in advance, though you can also arrange transfers through your hotel or other local providers. Note: While Uber operates out of Milan airports, they are typically unavailable for the return journey from Lake Maggiore back to the airports.
